'Arnim' was a German operation against the partisan forces of Marshal Josip Broz Tito in the Fruska mountain area of the Syrmia region, in the German-controlled puppet state of Croatia, by elements of Generalleutnant Heinrich von Behr’s 173^rd Reserve-Division and Generalleutnant Hellmuth von Pannwitz’s 1^st Kosaken-Kavalleriedivision (14/17 October 1943).

The mountains of the area were combed thoroughly and the partisan forces thereby denied a major troop concentration and supply area, at least for a time. According to the Germans, who admitted the loss of three men killed and two wounded, the partisans lost 217 men killed and 89 captured.
