'Blitzableiter' was a German study into the ways in which an Allied bacteriological warfare attack could be defeated (February 1943).

Biological warfare was a field in which the Germans held a considerable lead over the Allies, but which the Germans were fearful of using because of propaganda and 'leaks' about Allied counter-capabilities.
