Operation Details
'Blunt' was a British unrealised plan for a special forces raid by men of No. 50 (Middle East) Commando on the island of Kásos in the Italian-held Dodecanese islands group of the south-eastern area of the Aegean Sea (25 February 1941).
,The operation was to have coincided with the 'Pitch' (i) raid on Kastelorizo. The heavy cruiser York and the destroyers Hereward, Ilex, Juno and Mohawk were to have supported the operation from their position to the north of the Kásos Strait, and the minesweeper Fareham was on alert at Kandia in Crete, but the operation was cancelled.
