'Bumerang' was a German naval minelaying operation by the ex-Italian torpedo boats of Korvettenkapitän Wirich von Gartzen’s 10^th Torpedoboots-Flottille off Portoferraio on the island of Elba off the north-west coast of Italy (2/3 April 1944).
