'Cherokee' was a British special forces operation to parachute a four-man team of the 101^st Special Force into the Biella area of German-occupied northern Italy (16/17 November 1944).

The team comprised Major A. MacDonald, Captain J. Bell, Lieutenant J. P. S. Amore and Sergeant A. W. Birch who, only two hours after landing fought off an attack by the Italian Fascist garrison of Cerrione. The team then provided political and military assistance to partisan groups in the northern part of Piedmont.
