Crayford

'Crayford' was a British operation to move troops, weapons, equipment and supplies now surplus to local requirement from Lieutenant General Sir Henry Maitland Wilson’s (later Lieutenant General Sir Henry Pownall’s) Persia and Iraq Command to India to improve the capabilities of the forces fighting Japan in Burma (1943/44).
