'Doldrums' was an Allied unrealised plan for a major air offensive by Lieutenant General Ira C. Eaker’s Mediterranean Allied Air Forces against Adolf Hitler’s retreat at Berchtesgaden in southern Bavaria area of Germany and the Salzburg area of northern Austria (February 1945).
