Operation Details
'Dunkerton' was a British operation by the Special Operations Executive to protect the power stations at Nea to the south-east of Trondheim in German-occupied Norway (18 February/May 1945).
,All four men of the party, namely E. Jacobsen, S. HÃ¥rstad, M. Uglem and A. Aksnes, were recruited and trained in Sweden. By 18 February they were in Norway, meeting and developing contacts in their operational area. By mid-March German activity had forced the party to withdraw to Stockholm. The whole party was back in Norway by the end of April, however, and successfully ensured the safety of its target at the time of the German surrender.
