'Etonian' was a British unrealised contingency plan, paving the way to 'Matador' (i), for an advance into southern Thailand, in the event that the Japanese made any landing there, with the object of delaying if not preventing a Japanese advance into northern Malaya by taking Singora (early 1941/12 August 1941).
