'FWP' was the designation of Allied unescorted military convoys (together with a numerical suffix) of personnel transport vessels returning empty from the Seine Bay to the Isle of Weight after delivering troops to Normandy for 'Overlord' and subsequent land operations, and as such reciprocals of the 'EWP' series (June/September 1944).
