Operation Details
'Gannet' was a British operation by the Special Operations Executive to provide arms instruction and guerrilla training as well as prepare three 'Saccharine' squads (assassination teams) in German-occupied Norway (30 November 1942/February 1943).
,T. K. Hoff and O. Dobloug were landed by air on 30 November and travelled through the Gudbrandsdalen and then Ă˜sterdalen areas to train local instructors and form a 'Saccharine' squad in each valley. In a period of five weeks, working with a locally appointed leadership, they trained 60 new instructors before departing for Sweden in February 1943.
