'Garment' was an Allied unrealised plan for the defence of Iran and the Caucasus region of the southern USSR at a time when there appeared the possibility rather than the probability that the German 'Blau III' offensives might reach the Caspian Sea and possibly be extended farther to the south-east toward Iran (1942).
