The 'Geilenberg Programm' was a German undertaking, specifically ordered by Adolf Hitler, to restore damaged mineral oil production facilities and transfer the equipment for a small hydro-electric powerplant in northern Norway using a labour force of 18,000 prisoners of war (30 May 1944 onward).
