'Gilbey' was the British overall designation of nocturnal anti-shipping attacks off the coast of the German-occupied Netherlands by aircraft of No. 16 Group of RAF Coastal Command vectored onto their targets by radar-equipped Vickers Wellington maritime reconnaissance aircraft (1942/43).
