'JN' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from St John’s, Newfoundland to Labrador, and as such reciprocals of the 'NJ' series (June 1942/May 1944).
,The first of the convoys was JN.2 of 5/7 June 1942 from St John’s to Botwood with the 2,949-ton British Arc Light and 1,342-ton Norwegian Havmoy, and the last was JN.38 of 7/8 May 1944 from St John’s to Botwood with the 3,724-ton British Empire Tyne, 2,253-ton British Imperoyal, 2,060-ton British Iocolite and 3,649-ton Panamanian Suerte.
