,The cables extended between Newbiggin and Peterborough to shore installations in western Norway. The vessels involved were five minesweeping trawlers (Milford Queen of the 10th Minesweeping Group, James Lay of the 11th Minesweeping Group, Cape Melville and Milford Princess of the 12th Minesweeping Group and the unattached Clothilde) escorted by the sloop Weston. The vessels departed the Tyne river for the operation, and at its end proceeded to Yarmouth.
