'Shellac' was the US tactical deception created and implemented to support the assault of Lieutenant General Mark W. Clark’s (from 16 December Lieutenant General Lucian K. Truscott’s) US 5^th Army on Bologna (December 1944).

The plan was implemented for only a short time as the Allied plans for operations in northern Italy were currently in a state of flux.
