'Transcend' was a British deception for Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery’s 21^st Army Group by Colonel David Strangeways' 'R' Force to cover 'Plunder' by persuading the Germans to thin their defences through a realistic threat of Rhine river crossings in the area of Emmerich farther to the north and Düsseldorf farther to the south (March 1945).

The undertaking was the last planned and executed by 'R' Force, and was based on the use of both British- and US-controlled double agents.
